Jennifer Workman, AIA

Juror | Architecture Director & Commercial Practice Lead, VLK Architects

Plano, TX

Jennifer Workman, AIA, is a registered architect and Associate at VLK Architects, where she serves as the Architecture Director for the firm’s Dallas office. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, where her studies centered on European museum architecture. Early in her career, she contributed to the design and construction of the Perot Museum of Nature & Science—first in Los Angeles with Morphosis and later in Dallas during the museum’s construction phase.

Jennifer is a passionate advocate for emerging professionals and has served in leadership roles at every level of the American Institute of Architects. She spent two years on the AIA Dallas Executive Committee and five years on the Texas Society of Architects Board, including as Vice President of Member Services. Nationally, she has chaired several AIA committees supporting emerging professionals and currently serves a three-year term as At-Large Director on the AIA Board of Directors.

Her leadership and dedication to the profession have earned her multiple honors, including the AIA Young Architect Award, Building Design + Construction’s “40 Under 40,” and the Texas Society of Architects’ William Caudill Award for Young Professional Achievement
