Join us for an exclusive West Las Vegas Library Site Tour on February 26, featuring guided walkthroughs led by the project’s design and delivery team from KME Architects:
- Melvin Green, Principal
- Danithza Olsen, Project Manager
- Andrew Nasrallah, Architectural Job Captain
Located on North Martin Luther King Boulevard, the new 41,000+ square-foot, two-story West Las Vegas Library represents a transformative investment in this historic neighborhood. More than double the size of its previous 16,000+ square-foot branch on West Lake Mead Boulevard (and originally a storefront on “D” Street in 1973), this stand-alone facility is an architectural landmark designed to expand access, opportunity, and community resources.
During the tour, attendees will experience how the design supports:
- Robust children’s programming and literacy services
- Interactive technology and job skills development
- Cultural celebration and community gathering
Participants will also see key program elements including:
- A flexible Event Center
- A state-of-the-art 3D Printing Lab
- The Historical African American Collection
- The Digital Memories Preservation Lab
- An all-new 60,000-volume collection
Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
This tour is an excellent opportunity to learn how thoughtful design, community engagement, and innovative library programming come together to create a vibrant civic hub for West Las Vegas.
